When you think of restraining cargo in the bed of your pickup, flatbed, dump or any other truck, sometimes you wonder “how the heck am I going to restrain this uneven load”. You fall asleep at night dreaming of the custom cargo nets. You’d like a tarp to cover the stuff in the bed, but you also need something to crank it down with to keep things nice and tight.

You fall asleep at night dreaming of the perfect cargo net. You’d like a tarp to cover the stuff in the bed, but you also need something to crank it down with to keep things nice and tight.
One solution is to buy a blue or grey tarp, then use whatever cargo net over it to keep the tarp in place because if you don’t it’ll be blowing all over the place and could very well blow off your truck completely. Another solution is to buy a regular mesh cargo net but with a 6” mesh, some stuff may blow out.
A perfect example is a truck hauling bales of hay for horses, with an open bed. With no restraint device, that truck while driving on the freeway will lose an average of one bale of hay, and that’s not cheap~!! With a tarp, messing around with rope can be a nightmare and the tarp is never really secure as you well know. With a mesh net, sure, you’ll hold down the cargo, but let’s face it you’re going to lose a lot of hay still.
