We get a lot of calls from customers for custom cargo nets for many different applications including vehicles, warehouses, trucks, cars, Sprinter vans, boats, trains, buses, fire trucks, police vehicles, the whole nine yards. Some of the calls we get are for warehouse shelving, shelf nets for vehicles or some kind of need for a vertical cargo net to hold things in on shelves from falling off.
Many of these applications need to be fulfilled for each shelf area itself because using one huge net for the whole shelving structure may not be sufficient given the net doesn’t crank down tight inside one shelf but rather the whole structure which allows things stacked on shelves to possibly fall during an earthquake or other event. Most people think they need to purchase a custom net, but sometimes these custom cargo nets can become somewhat pricy if you’re looking at large quantity or small hole or mesh size and heavy duty webbing and hardware.
One of the products we always check prior to designing you a custom net is the Gladiator line of cargo nets. One of the nets that we’ve come across recently is the ATV Utility Cargo Net which is relatively new in the Gladiator line. It’s perfect for small shelves that are approximately 36” x 28” as this is the size of the net. We also just received into stock a 48” x 48” net that may fit a shelf around that size. Other sizes vary from 4×8’, to 4.75 x 5.25’, then we go to 4.75 x 6’, 6.75 x 8’, 8 x 10’, 10 x 12’ and even up to 11’ x 19’ for long flat bed trucks.
The great thing about these nets is that they have a really strong rip-stop mesh in the middle portion of the net, then webbing around the outsides as seen in the below photos. In addition, there are multiple grommet locations so you can manipulate the net either with the straps provided, or with either a snap hook or carabineer. Please contact us if you have any questions.
