5 Essential Accessories for Everyone Who Rides an ATV Needs

Do you have an ATV and love riding it? Or maybe you’re thinking of getting one? Along with buying your ATV, there are some accessories that you should get. Below are five essential accessories to buy for your ATV.

1. Helmet

You never know when you are going to have an accident. So you want to make sure that you are wearing a helmet. This will help you with staying safe when you are riding just in case something happens.

2. Protective Clothing

Along with your helmet, wearing googles, long sleeves and pants, gloves and boots are a good idea. It won’t take a lot to damage your eye severely, so having a pair of goggles on is always a good idea.

3. A Tool Kit

Having a simple tool kit’s a great idea, since anything can happen anytime. Along with having pliers, wrenches and a screwdriver, below are some other items that are good to have.

  • Vice-Grips – These are even better than pliers and they can do a lot of great things from loosening tough nuts to even serving as a handle for your door.
  • Zip Ties – These are some of the best things that you can put in your tool kit. You never know when a bracket or drive shaft could break. There is nothing that they can’t do!
  • Duct Tape – Duct tape is another item that is handy like zip ties. It can do just about anything. Don’t go ATVing without it.
  • A Compact Flashlight – This is going to be handy if the natural light fades. Even though having one that is bigger will be helpful, the smaller one is good for getting into small places and seeing what is wrong.
  • Essentials for Starting a Fire – Kindling, butane fire, waterproof matches or cotton balls in a waterproof container or baggie will help you with having a fire quickly if you have an emergency.
  • Multiple Tool/Swiss Army Knife
  • Compass and Map

4. Cellphone & Charger

Even though you’re riding your ATV to get away from technology, having your phone and a charger is important. You never know when you might have a health or mechanical issue so that you need to call or text someone.

5. Tire Plugs and Air Pump

Just like any other type of vehicle, your ATV’s tires can get flats, too. So you want to be ready in case this happens with tire plugs and an air pump.

These are five ATV accessories that you want to buy for yourself. They’re going to help you stay safe and be ready for many different problems when you are riding.
